FAQ'S

  • What Style of Photographs should I expect?

We shoot a good mixture of classic photographs as well as creative shots. We try to incorporate your personality as much as possible to make the photo session more personal.

Many times, a client has something specific in mind, and we are more than willing to accommodate those ideas. Normally, we include regular color and black/white.

  • What should I expect during a session?

Your photo session will take place at the location of your choice, and we will work with you to choose a date and time that works best.

The location chosen and the number of people present at your photo session will also determine how long your session will take. We allow for plenty of time during your session to get a good number of photos to ensure that you have plenty of favorites to choose from.

If you have any special requests, feel free to let us know.

  • Do you offer studio portraits and headshots?

Sure! If you want your maternity photos, baby portraits, or anything else indoors, just let us know and we’ll make a plan for it. This way, we can get some great photos without having to worry about the weather outside.

  • What should I wear?

Feel free to wear whatever you are most comfortable in. You will feel more relaxed and it shows in the photo! For some additional guidance, here are some tips for making your photo timeless:

Patterns, stripes and bold designs tend to be distracting in a photo. Solid colors usually work best in color and in black and white.

Trendy clothing and bold hairstyles tend to ‘date’ a photo over the years. Simple may feel boring at the time, but will look more classic in the future.

For groups and couples, some people like to have matching outfits. This often makes for a lovely photo, but unmatched colors that complement each other also photograph very well.

Another suggestion: Go casual. Most people go for a carefree “blue jean or khaki” look, which I think is more fun, relaxing and most of all, let’s you be yourself. Hey, we may even kick off our shoes! It is Tennessee, right?

  • Can you edit blemishes, etc?

    Yes, we can!

Depending on the desired look you want, we can re-touch certain photos to show a more “flawless” finish.  More extensive editing, such as multiple blemishes or slimming actions may require an additional cost of $15 per photo. If you have any areas of concern, please feel free to let us know so we can work with you and make your photograph one you will love.

  • When can I expect to receive my photos?

Generally, digital proofs are ready to view in about 4 weeks after your photo session. This allows time for proper photo processing and color services. With a personalized online photo gallery, you can view your proofs easily and share the link with others while your DVD or prints are being made.

  • How can I print my photos?

Your choice of printing the photos is up to you. If you would like to have the digital files and print them on your own, we offer that to you.

However, if you would like for us to send your photos to a professional print house, we will be glad to do that for you as well. After you make your decision about printing your photos, we will work with you about the best way to have them printed.

  • When do I need to make payment?

For portrait sessions, payment is expected the day services are rendered. If a DVD is ordered, payment must be made before your DVD can be mailed.
